West Mifflin blasts McKeesport in Tigers’ opener

The McKeesport softball team’s season didn’t get off to a very good start Tuesday.

The Tigers were walloped by West Mifflin, 11-1, in a season-opening Section 2-4A loss on the Titans’ turf.

Isabella Farmer singled, doubled and tripled on her way to a three RBI day for the Titans (3-0, 1-0).

Emily Buchleitner pitched a five-inning complete game for West Mifflin, allowing just one hit and striking out five Tigers. Buchleitner also finished with a pair of hits, including a triple, and two RBIs.
