Anthony Tabacca – Monessen

Anthony Tabacca, 92, of Monessen passed away Thursday, March 21, 2019 in his home. He was born in Monessen, a son of the late Thomas and Giovannina D’Amcone Tabacca. Anthony worked as a millwright for Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel’s Monessen plant prior to his retirement. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed Christmas lights and repairing them and was an avid fan of horse racing. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Regina Mehrmann; and four brothers, Mark Tabacca and Palmer, Romeo and Rocko Tobacco. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to RHOME FUNERAL HOME INC., 1209 Grand Blvd., Monessen, where friends will be welcomed Sunday from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Monday with Fr. Michael Crookston officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Monessen. Online condolences can be made at www.rhomefuneralhome.com.
