Kupets brings aggressive attitude to Commodores

There’s a new sheriff in charge of Frazier’s baseball program.
And while he is well-known in these parts, you can bet things will be done quite differently on the diamond this season by the Commodores.
Dan Kupets, whose name has been synonymous with baseball in Fayette County for years, is the new coach at Frazier. He brings lengthy credentials with him that include playing and coaching on the high school, collegiate and semi-pro sandlot levels.
Just last season, he was an assistant at Fairmont State, his collegiate alma mater.
“I have my way of doing things and I’ve been letting the players know that,” said Kupets. And, so far, he likes what he has been seeing.
“The kids are working really hard and we are going to be very aggressive,” he said. “We’re going to come right at people. We’re not holding anything back.”
