Monessen citizens, business owners and other community members are invited to weigh in on the city’s future.

As part of the implementation of the Early Intervention Program, which was completed in 2017, city officials and program leaders will host an open house Wednesday to discuss the comprehensive plan.

The open house is an opportunity for those interested to offer input on Monessen’s priorities; identify opportunities for new development, redevelopment and other land use improvements; and discuss housing, economic development, parks and recreation, transportation, infrastructure and other issues the comprehensive plan will address.

The project is led by the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee and facilitated by planning consultants Mackin Engineering and MGR Consulting Inc.
