“One a penny. Two a penny. Hot cross buns.”

Those are some of the lyrics the children at Christy Park United Methodist Church sang Tuesday while they made hot cross buns during Celebrity Kids Kitchen.

Joined by WQED-TV’s Chris Fennimore, host of “QED Cooks,” the kids sang religious songs, had a Bible study session and baked the sweet and spicy bread filled with dried and candied fruit and topped with icing.

Stu “BBQ Stu” Wilson and Jackie Flajnik, both of McKeesport, created Celebrity Kids Kitchen a few years ago to teach children who attend Christy Park UMC’s Vacation Bible School about responsibility.
