The annual ATHENA Award, presented by Washington Financial Bank, honors women’s business leadership. It’s an internationally recognized award that honors women’s leadership within the business and civic communities.
In place internationally since 1982, it was created to recognize a man or woman who has achieved the highest level of professional excellence, contributes time and energy to improve the quality of life for others in the community and actively assists others — particularly women — in realizing their full leadership potential.
Finalists for the 2019 Washington County ATHENA Leadership Award are Ann K. Drach, board president, Literacy Council of Southwestern Pennsylvania; Tammy Hardy, vice president, Hardy Enterprises, LCC; Tanya Mallory, chief executive officer, Dress for Success; Lynda Nester, executive director, Community Care Network, Monongahela Valley Hospital; and Monica Speicher, M.D., Washington Health System.
