The Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce hopes guests will bring their appetites to the fifth annual Taste of the Town.

Designed to promote area businesses, the event showcases the best food and beverage items from local restaurants, caterers, brewers, bakeries, wineries and confectioners across Allegheny, Washington, Fayette and Westmoreland counties.

This year’s event, which is expected to sell out, takes place Sunday at Rostraver Central Fire Hall. Doors open at 2 p.m.

Chamber Executive Director Gina Lynn said more than 20 establishments are expected to participate, offering a sampling of appetizers, desserts and everything in between.

“Five years running and it seems like just yesterday that we established this event, but it is as popular now as it was then,” she said. “Based on the brisk ticket sales and it always being sold out, folks truly look forward to Taste of the Town. It is held at a perfect time during the year, as most folks have cabin fever and look forward to an afternoon of eating, drinking and socializing.”
