Joyce Ann Tartt Waters – Clairton

Joyce Ann Tartt Waters, 75, of Clairton, departed this life on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, in UPMC Shadyside Hospital. She was born on Oct. 9, 1943, in New Eagle, daughter of the late Cecil Henry Tartt and Leola Frances Ellis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter S. Waters Jr. and son, Walter S. Waters III. Joyce was a graduate of Donora High School. She was formerly employed at Kane Regional Center Scott Township and retired as a nurse’s aide from Manor Care. Survivors include her daughter, Renada S. Washington of Port Orange, Fla.; five grandchildren, Mercedes-Maree Frances Robinson, Nadia Marlana Davis, Amaya Lashea Waters, Billy Jo  Washington Jr., Liam Grant Washington; two great-granddaughters, Noelle-Maree Lynn Robinson and Nevaeh Robinson; five brothers, Cecil  (Helen) Tartt of Monessen, Dane Tartt of Irwin, Irving Tartt Donora, Edward Tartt of Washington, Frank Tartt of Donora; sister, Valetta Moore of Ambridge; aunts, Mary Harris of Garnerville, N.Y. and Marie Gardner of Donora; niece, Alicia J. Waters of Aberdeen, Md.; brother-in-law, Robert A. (Robin) Waters; cousins, Francine (Mack) Simms of Monessen and Daniel “Rock” (Lois) Thompson of Donora; nephew Enoch Leech; other cousins, nieces, nephews, and many who called her a friend. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 18, 2019, at ROBERT A. WATERS FUNERAL HOME INC., 449 Mitchell Ave., Clairton. Services will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Morning Star Baptist Church, 307 Shaw Avenue, Clairton. Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth. Arrangements entrusted to Robert A. Waters Funeral Home Inc., Clairton.
