Serra can’t overcome turnovers

The turnover disaster that Serra Catholic coach Justin Walther feared wound up sinking his team in Wednesday’s PIAA second-round loss to Ferrell.
The Eagles gave up the ball repeatedly midway through the second quarter as an 18-16 lead turned into a 30-18 deficit.
Press after press. Steal after steal. Easy bucket after easy bucket.
In what was otherwise a competitive matchup, that stretch proved to be crucial as the Eagles fell 70-64 at Slippery Rock in a 2A contest.
