Richard C. Mumford – Belle Vernon

Richard C. Mumford, 86, of Belle Vernon, died Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at his home. Born April 19, 1932, in Scranton, Pa., he was the son of the late Clinton D. and Helen Karlorvicz Mumford. A resident of Belle Vernon, Mr. Mumford was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the U.S. Air Force, a retired truck driver for various trucking companies, enjoyed traveling and site seeing. He is survived by a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Margie and Harry Carr of Monongahela; three step-grandchildren Sara Carr, Bryan Carr, Michael Carr; two aunts, Sophie Seman, Connie Perry; and two cousins, Alice Whitmore and Brenda Walker. He is preceded in death by his companion, Judith Neil; and a sister, Rosalie Lanham. Funeral services and interment will take place in National Cemetery of The Alleghenies.  Richard’s professional arrangements entrusted to the PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, Family Owned and Operated, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, 724-929-6183.
