Mon Valley represented in Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic

The high school wrestling season will come to a close Friday with the 35th Annual Pittsburgh Wrestling Classic being held at Pitt’s Fitzgerald Field House.
The Classic has come to be known as the Rose Bowl of Wrestling and is arguably most prestigious all-star event in the nation for high school seniors.
Two Mon Valley athletes will represent the WPIAL All-Stars in the preliminary match against All-Stars from New York. The main event features the Pennsylvania All-Stars against the United States All Stars.
Fresh off placing in the PIAA tournament for the second time, both Belle Vernon Area’s Scotty Joll and Jon Vargo of Bentworth will be at 182 and 195 pounds for Team WPIAL.
