Edward P. Gazi – Rostraver Township

Edward P. Gazi, 70, of Rostraver Township, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019. A son of the late Paul Gazi and Mary Saksun Gazi Minno, he was born in Monessen on Jan. 29, 1949. A member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Ed was formerly of Monessen and has been a Rostraver Township resident since 1973. A self-employed CPA and former Amtrack auditor, he was active with the Rostraver Midget and Belle Vernon football programs. Survivors include his wife, Joycelyn M. Nega Gazi; a daughter and son-in-law, Ashley M. and Scott Clawson of Rostraver; a granddaughter, Aria M. Clawson; two sisters, Evelyn (Vernon) Bloom of Roscoe and Anita (Robert) Ewing of Charlotte, N.C.; his mother-in-law, Mary K. Hutoff Nega; a sister-in-law, Rosita Nega of Belle Vernon, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Chester; his stepfather, Michael Minno; his father-in-law, Thomas Nega, Sr.; and a brother-in-law, Thomas Nega Jr. FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC. is handling the arrangements, 724-929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A memorial Mass will be held at St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday, March 15, 2019, with Father Mike Crookston as celebrant.
