Mary Lou McMillen Babich – Perryopolis

Mary Lou McMillen Babich, 75, of Perryopolis, passed away Monday, March 11, 2019, at Country Care Manor, Washington Township. Born July 14, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John B. McMillen Sr. and Dortha Hixson McMillen. A lifelong resident of Perryopolis, Mrs. Babich was a member of St. John the Divine Orthodox Church in Monessen, was a retired deli manager from Perryopolis Shop ‘n Save and enjoyed cooking and baking. She is survived by her husband, Frank Babich Jr.; son and daughter-in-law, Frank “Matt” and Brenda Babich of Vanderbilt; daughter, Christine L. Babich of Monongahela; four grandchildren, Theodore Jr., Brittany, Justine and Johna Gibson; four great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Ruth McMillen. She was preceded in death by her son, Theodore A. Babich; two brothers, Vaughn McMillen and John B. McMillen Jr.;  and two sisters, Virginia Whitelaw and Harriette Arlene McMillen. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at PARZYNSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATIONS, family owned and operated, 191 Liberty St., Perryopolis, 724-736-2515. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Parzynski Funeral Home & Cremations with the Very Rev. Constantine Curchin of St. John the Divine Church officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Panakhida services will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The family also extends a special thank you to the staff at Country Care Manor, especially Amy, Jenn, Veronica and Casey, for their compassionate care and love they gave to Mary Lou.  Condolences accepted at the funeral home’s website, www.parzynskifuneralhome.com.
