An arrest warrant was issued Monday for a Charleroi man accused of assaulting a woman in his home.

Damian James Pearce, 20, of Fallowfield Avenue was charged with strangulation – blocking the nose and mouth, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, disorderly conduct and terroristic threats.

Charleroi Regional police responded just after 5 p.m. March 3 to Pearce’s apartment for reports of an ongoing domestic incident, an affidavit of probable cause states.

A neighbor reported hearing “screaming and yelling,” “pounding on the floor” and people “throwing each other around,” police said.
