The Serra Catholic boys basketball team looks to overcome the devastation of a WPIAL championship loss as it begins play in the PIAA Class 2A playoffs today.

The Eagles (20-4) return to their home away from home, traveling back to Peters Township for a 4:30 p.m. matchup against Penns Manor (14-11), the No. 4 seed out of District 6.

“We lost the first game there last year, but we were there twice this year and it’s been good to us there,” Eagles head coach Justin Walther said. “When we told the kids that’s where we were going, they were glad to be going back. It’s familiar to us.

“Honestly don’t think we’ve played a good playoff game yet, so if we want to make a run to Hershey, we need to get a good one in and start a streak of good games.
