Donald ‘Don’ Ray Harris – North Belle Vernon

Donald “Don” Ray Harris, 74, of North Belle Vernon, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, in Mon Valley Hospital. A son of the late Olan and Alva Baer Harris, he was born in California, Pa, on June 3, 1944. Don had been employed as a die maker at Fisher Body, retiring in 1994. Born and raised on the former historic Harris Dairy Farm, Don had moved to North Belle Vernon in 1980. He had attended Journey by Grace and was a U.S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife of almost 30 years, Leslie Dunkerton Harris, two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Jim Wible of Brownsville and Tammy Lynn and Michael Lantz of Sharpsville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Christian, Donald, Jesse, and Zachary Lantz, James Morgan, and Michael Wible; and two nieces, Jennifer McBride and Kelly Giglionminni and families, all of Virginia Beach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Harris and two brothers, Jack Harris and James Harris, in infancy. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 724-929-5300, 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon, www.FergusonFuneralHomeAndCrematory.com. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Ruff Creek.
