In 1994 and 1995, she and her family opened two more personal care homes, Flo’s 2 and 3. She retired in October 2018 after 27 years of devoting her time and love of her residents. She loved her family, residents, workers, her grandchildren, Raymond and Adam Houseman, of Ohio, Tabitha, Tonya, Derek, Emily, Adin, Kylie and Kendra; her pride and joy, her great granddaughters, Alexis Rae Keyes-Stewart who resides with her; and Kaelee Houseman of Niles, Ohio, and her fur babies, Mojo, Maximus and Momo. She was survived by her daughter, Dawn Marie Leyda and fiancé Adam Keyes, with whom she resided with, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Donald Leyda, in July 2007; and siblings, Paul, Joanne and Harry. Friends and family will be received at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A blessing service will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Thursday with John Custer and Chris Werre officiating. Interment will be immediately following at Lafayette Memorial Park in Grindstone. The family will have an open dinner for all at the Elco Civic Center immediately following the burial. A special thanks to all of her adopted family for the wonderful care and love that they all gave to her and myself, to all of the doctors at MVH, via Quest Nursing, her PT therapist, Jessie Giovinnelli and to all of the nurses at Monongahela Valley Hospital who were all wonderful to her — ER, 4th, 5th, 7th and ICU — and to the staff at Mon Valley Care Center during her short stay there for PT.
