Glenn Patrick Johnson – California, Pa.

By obits

Glenn Patrick Johnson, 80, of California, Pa., went to be with the lord on Friday, March 1, 2019. He was the greatest husband, father, pap, and friend that anyone could ever ask for. He was the hardest working man that not only provided the best possible life for his family, but for anyone that needed him. He was a jack of all trades.   There was nothing he couldn’t fix or do. The word “can’t,” wasn’t in his vocabulary. We have so many precious memories from our childhood through our adulthood: family vacations every year to almost all 50 states, family camping trips to the Buckaloons, sitting around the campfire or fishing for hours on the Allegheny river in his fishing boat. In his later years we all bought camps at the Hillegass Campground where we all have many more cherished memories with our camping family. Dad was not a man of many words but the words he spoke were so strong and truthful. His family was his world and he will be desperately missed by all who knew and loved him. He was born on July 24, 1938, to G.W. and Lylia Gallagher Johnson, in Granville, Pa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carole Huey Johnson; grandson, John Waller III; one brother and two sisters. Left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Brenda Lutz and husband Jim of California. Pa., Patty Rongaus and husband Lee of Donora, and Susan Bean (Brian Kendall) of West Brownsville; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the MARISCOTTI FUNERAL HOME INC., Anthony N. Mariscotti, supervisor, 323 Fourth St., California, Pa., from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019, and until 11 a.m. Tuesday, the hour of service, with the Rev. Terry Sanders, officiating.
