Some area residents still without power

Restoration efforts are still continuing for local power companies. 

Some Mon Valley residents remain in the dark after five days, as electric companies continue to work overtime to restore service.

Hundreds of thousands of residents throughout the Pittsburgh region have been dealing with the aftermath of the havoc wreaked since Sunday, when wind gusts reached higher than 60 mph.

As restoration winds down, companies will begin to address other localized issues, including setting poles and repairing wire.
