Tigers fight hard, fall to Central Valley
By Jeremy Tepper
For the MV Independent
Central Valley and McKeesport are two very disparate teams.
The Warriors have plenty of size, while McKeesport doesn’t. McKeesport isn’t a great shooting team, while the Warriors are an above average one. Perhaps biggest of all, the second-seeded Warriors are quite experienced, while McKeesport is a young team.
But when Central Valley started to turn it on in the fourth quarter, McKeesport might’ve thought it was looking in the mirror.
Much like the Tigers do well, Central Valley used strong rebounding and their press defense to go on an 8-0 run in the final frame, turning a tie game into a 55-47 lead with just under two minutes left.
