Leopards look to control the pace against No. 5 Highlands

Belle Vernon Area head coach Joe Salvino admitted there was a time where he thought his playoff streak would be in jeopardy.
After making it to the playoffs every year for more than three decades while at Monessen, Salvino’s streak remains in tact after his first regular season with BVA.
Salvino credits his team for coming together and scratching and clawing their way into the postseason after a lackluster start to the season.
After beginning the campaign with a 2-12 overall mark, the Leopards (8-14) finished the season winning six of their last eight games.
