If all goes well with water testing today, a boil water advisory in four Valley communities could end tomorrow.

The precautionary measure was issued Tuesday for North Charleroi, Charleroi, Speers and Monessen after a transmission line break in the Authority of the Borough of Charleroi’s water system in Monessen.

A portion of service into the line malfunctioned later the same day.

The problems were fixed twice Tuesday and a third time Wednesday in a different area of the line. Now the end may finally be in sight for thousands of residents being affected.
