Guard play will be key for Cougars against Lancers

First impressions can be misleading.

For example, Charleroi not only will take just an 11-10 record into its WPIAL Class 3A first round playoff game against Deer Lakes (15-6) today at Keystone Oaks (3 p.m. tip), but the Cougars go into the contest having lost three of their last four.

That might not sound impressive, but …

One person who is not disappointed with the season is veteran Charleroi coach Bill Wiltz.
