Fire destroys Rostraver Twp. house

An old house that sat on the property of Equipment Connection & Party Rental Co. on Tyrol Boulevard in Rostraver Township was demolished following a fire early Friday morning.
Rostraver Central Fire Department assistant Chief Justin Shawley said Rostraver Township police were patrolling the area of Tyrol Boulevard and Johnson Avenue when they saw flames and smoke coming from the lot behind Equipment Connection’s main building on Tyrol.
They found that the house, which the company used as a storage facility for items such as tables, chairs, place settings and linens that were rented out for parties, was up in flames.
Rostraver Central Volunteer Fire Department crews found that the business was closed for the night and no one was at the property or inside the house.
