Runaway barges close bridge

The Duquesne-McKeesport Bridge was closed for around an hour Tuesday after reports that at least one of three runaway barges on the Monongahela River may have struck one of its piers.
Allegheny County broke the news that the bridge was closed via its Twitter account at 11:47 a.m.
A little more than an hour later, via its Facebook page, the McKeesport Police Department reported that “The Duquesne-McKeesport Bridge is reopening!”
