Audrey M. Miles – Tyrone, formerly of Monessen

Audrey M. Miles, 85, of Tyrone, Pa., and a guest at Epworth Manor, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2019. She was born on Feb. 5, 1934, in Monessen, the daughter of the late Charles G. and Mary Amelia Grant Wentz. On April 19, 1958, she married John E. “Jack” Miles who preceded her in death on Sept. 28, 1999. Audrey is survived by two daughters, Cathy (Sam) Cowher of Tyrone and Lorie Wentz Thomas of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Sammy (Jamie) Cowher, Christi (Adam) Black, Nicole (Steve) Witt, Grant Thomas, Auralyn (Adam) Kimokeo-Mitomi, Chelsie (Derek) Markel and Gary Miles Jr; 10 great-grandchildren, Lilah, Anakin, Jade, Kaila, Colton, Amelia, Noah, Angel, Quin and Aiden; and one sister, Betty Revetta of Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by one son, Gary Miles Sr.; one son-in-law, Nick Thomas; and one brother, Chuck G. Wentz Jr. Audrey enjoyed ceramics, puzzles and going to Monongahela. She also enjoyed visiting with her neighbors, Ivy and Ralph, going to Burger King with her friend, Toots, listening to music and attending house concerts. She loved Kenny Rodgers and Elvis Presley, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved very much. Friends will be received at RICHARD H. SEARER FUNERAL HOME INC. from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, with funeral service officiated by the Rev. Carl Schmidt to follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home.
