The Greater Rostraver Chamber of Commerce and Off the Wall Arts are offering Mid-Mon Valley residents the best seat in the house by gearing up for their second annual “Chair-ity” event.

The fundraiser was created in 2018 by chamber Executive Director Gina Lynn and Off the Wall Arts and Perked Up Cafe owner Casey Clark in an effort to help the Monessen Salvation Army Mon Valley Citadel bridge funding gaps and continue offering its many community programs.

All proceeds from this year’s event, which takes place at 6:30 p.m. March 7 at Off the Wall Arts, will also benefit the Salvation Army.

Lynn said businesses, school districts, organizations and individuals are encouraged to enter a recycled, repurposed or newly decorated chair of any size and style for a gallery-style display. The chairs are eligible for silent auction bidding and “Best in Show” voting.
