Charlene M. Sofsky – Bridgeville, formerly of Monongahela

Charlene M. Sofsky, 74, of Bridgeville, formerly of Monongahela died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, in the home of her daughter. She was born Nov. 16, 1944, in New Eagle, the daughter of Charles and Amelia Mattia Sofsky and Matilda Ponchak.​ Charlene was employed at the former Homestead Hospital as a personal care assistant. She also worked at the food court at Century III Mall. She was Catholic by faith and had attended the former Mentor Road Bible Church in Elizabeth. Charlene was a member of the NRA and had a big heart when it came to her love of animals.​ She is survived by her son, Ron Grace of Pittsburgh; three daughters, Bonnie Dunlap of Florida, Cheryl Weber and husband Mike of Cheswick; Robin Bobb and boyfriend Joseph McShane, with whom she made her home; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and special friend, Donnie Zinger.​ In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Vicki Keasey.​ Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2019,  at The Church, 1683 Mars Hill Road, Sutersville, PA 15083, with the Pastor Frank Rocco officiating. The FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington Area Humane Society, P.O.
