Marcia Jo Minkus-Mills – West Newton

Marcia Jo Minkus-Mills, 56, of West Newton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019. She was born in Mt. Pleasant on Sept. 23, 1962, to Edmund and Betty Jo Minkus Marcia joined the U.S. Army after high school, where she served in Germany. While living in Tennessee, she was a quality control technician at Bosch Machine. She eventually returned to West Newton to be the full-time caretaker of her mother, Betty Jo, until her passing in 2013 and was currently taking care of her father, Edmund. She also spent time volunteering in the community with her therapy dog, Molly. She is survived by her father, Edmund J. Minkus of West Newton; siblings, Gregory (Ethel) Minkus of Webster, Teresa Vitigoy of Youngwood and Mark (Elizabeth) Minkus of North Huntingdon; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Betty Jo Harden Minkus; an infant sister, Cecelia Minkus; and siblings, Steven A. Minkus, Mary Catherine Fox and Ruth Ann Prosser; and brother-in-law, Dale Vitigoy. A private interment will be held in West Newton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the JAMES C.
