Charleroi won’t be the same without ‘Nunnie’ Milchovich

When it came to getting to know Stan “Nunnie” Milchovich, I always considered myself lucky.

I came to know Nunnie in the late 1970s. I was a Monessen guy and he was a tried-and-true Charleroi guy.

Now, for you millennials who don’t know what I’m getting at, back in those days the Charleroi-Monessen rivalry was real. It wasn’t at its highest point, but it still meant something.

It was more than harmless hype.
