Salesman will honor his late mother at vendor show

A Monessen man will carry on the legacy of his late mother — a popular Mon Valley saleswoman — during a vendor show this weekend. 

Matthew Kowasic said his mother, Elsie, began her career in the world of sales in the late 1980s. 

In the 30 years she worked for Stanley Home Products, she moved from salesperson to division manager. 

“We grew up around Stanley,” he said. “It was a true passion of my mother’s, not just for the products, but for the people.”
