Carroll Township native and former Ohio Congressman Jim Renacci will hold a meet-and-greet event at Donora Public Library Sunday.

Area residents can meet Renacci at 2 p.m. Sunday at Donora Public Library on Meldon Avenue.

The Ringgold High School graduate served four terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from the 16th District in Ohio from 2011-19.

In 2017, Renacci, R-Wadsworth, ran for governor of Ohio, aiming to succeed Gov. John Kasich. However, in January 2018, he dropped out of the race and announced his intention to run for the U.S. Senate.
