Melva Marlene Pocky – Charleroi

Melva Marlene Pocky, 87, of Charleroi, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 1, 2019. She was born Aug. 10, 1931, in Speers, daughter of the late Albert and Sara Cady Pocky. Melva graduated from Monessen High School in the Class of 1949. She was a retired secretary with a law office in Washington, D.C. Melva was a devoted Christian and very active in her church life. She always found the beauty in everybody. Melva was a world traveler. She is survived by her loving sister, Carole Pocky Chacko and her husband, James “Mouse” Chacko of Charleroi; nieces and nephews, Troy Pocky, Mark Pocky and wife Cathy, Marisa Lee and husband Kevin, Jamel Chacko, Jamie Brodine and husband Jon, Mindy Ortolona and husband Jake and Dana Gallik; several great-nieces, great-nephews and a great-great niece. She is also survived by a special friend, Pastor Patricia Mollick. In addition to her parents, Melva was preceded in death by her brother, Albert M. Pocky. There will be no public visitation.
