By obits

Ronald W. Sable Sr., 77, died Friday evening, Feb. 1, 2019, at Washington Hospital. Ron, a Pennsylvania native, lived a simple but rewarding life. He was a loving husband and father, an Army veteran, and an honorary fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus. His devotion to his family and faith were beyond reproach. Ron was best known to be an industrial worker, followed by transportation expert. As a professional driver, Ron traveled all across America, making friends everywhere he went. He always could make a friend and was known to be the kindest person in the room. Ron’s devotion to his one and only love, Monica, was superior to any love story ever written. A widower of 44 years, Ron never disconnected from the bond they shared. A large portion of his life honored her by staying committed to their short-lived union. Ron is survived by his son, Ron and his daughter-in-law Nora. Deceased are his parents, William M. and Ann Tillie Remish Sable; and a sister, Marlene A. Lutes. Friends are welcome from 9 to 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, at THOMPSON-MARODI FUNERAL HOME INC., 809 Main St., Bentleyville, 724-239-2255, followed at 10:30 a.m. by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Katharine Drexel, Bentleyville Campus, 126 Church St., Bentleyville, with the Rev. Edward L. Yuhas, administrator, as celebrant. A procession will follow to Sacred Heart Cemetery for a rite of committal service and military honors by American Legion Post 165, Bentleyville. The Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests your consideration of memorials to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, 4401 Pennsylvania Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15224.
