The University of Pittsburgh’s Small Business Development Center will soon offer Mid-Mon Valley business owners and entrepreneurs a chance to expand their efforts.

Beginning March 27, the four-part Launch My Business series will return to the area, thanks to a federal grant through the Appalachian Regional Commission.

Development Center Assistant Director Michael Wholihan said the grant was designed to help bring economic development to the Appalachian region.

“You always see a lot of people on the news talking about the need for bringing education, training and resources to the area,” Wholihan said. “This is it. This is how that gets done.”
