Calling all dog lovers! The annual Puppy Up Walk returns to Monessen this fall.

Following a successful inaugural event in 2018, event organizer Randy Marino hopes even more people will join in his fight against canine cancer this year.

“Last year when we decided to do this, we set a goal of $5,000 at first. I was a little bit sheepish because you don’t want to set a goal and not make it,” Marino said. “A week before the event, we had increased our goal multiple times to $9,500.”

The Puppy Up planning committee met that goal and then some, raising $12,363 for dogs in need.
