It has been more than a year since Francesca Fronzaglio has been able to enjoy watching a football game from the comfort of her couch, but she wouldn’t change a thing.

Fronzaglio, a 23-year-old Belle Vernon native, landed a job with the NFL during her final semester at Point Park University in 2017 after submitting “a ton” of applications on Indeed.com.

After making a move to Los Angeles, she started working in the NFL’s Media Services and Administration department in December 2017. But a few months later, she discovered she had lingual tonsillitis that would require surgery, leaving her out of commission for the entire football season.

“I was constantly sick since moving to Los Angeles and found myself in the hospital in June,” she said. “I had to fly home two days later and see doctors in Pittsburgh and found out I had lingual tonsillitis.”
