Valley reunion set in sunny Florida

More than 100 Mon Valley snowbirds and former residents will bask in the Florida sunshine next month as they come together for their 38th annual reunion.
The 2019 Florida Mon Valley Reunion is set for noon Feb. 23 at Cody’s Original Roadhouse in Clearwater.
Once again, Dr. John Hisiro and wife, Carol, of Fallowfield Township are organizing the informal gathering. Hisiro said the combination of warm weather, Cody’s relaxed atmosphere and a mutual love for the Mon Valley makes the reunion a success year after year.
“There are no speeches. It’s a laid-back gathering where we can sit around and talk and enjoy good food,” Hisiro said.
