Schools closed as cold moves in

All the school districts in the Mid-Mon Valley canceled classes today and most will be closed Thursday, but students in one district won’t have to make up these lost days.
Elizabeth Forward School District implemented virtual instruction days for today and tomorrow with teachers reporting to school and students working from home.
The Pennsylvania Department of Education gave the district permission to have virtual instruction days when inclement weather impacts students traveling to school.
On virtual instruction days, teachers are available during regular school hours to assist students by email and phone as they work on their assignments. This will count as a regular day of school. Students have three school days to complete assignments, which enables them to be marked “present.”
