Mrs. Joyce Guzy Benzio, 76, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2019, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. Born in North Charleroi, Mrs. Benzio was a daughter of Mary DiNardo Guzy of North Charleroi and the late Stephen Guzy. She attended the Washington School of Nursing and was also a piano teacher. She was a member of Bible Baptist and she devoted her life to her family, her music and most of all faith in her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Benzio is survived by her husband, Karl Benzio; her sons, Karl Benzio Jr. (Martine) of Doylestown. Pa., and Stephen Kyle Benzio (Megan) of Churchville, Pa.; her daughter, Kimberly Vinesett (Terry) of Lancaster, S.C.; her grandchildren, Krysta, Dominique, Nicole, Cassandra, Gabrielle, Cannon and Violet; her brother, Steven Guzy of Pittsburgh; and her sisters, Gloria “Gigi” Nicoll of Fort Mill, S.C. and Janise Calcek of North Charleroi. The family received friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at Bible Baptist Church, 255 US-21 Bypass, Fort Mill, SC 29715. The funeral will followed at 11 a.m. with the Rev. James Parrish officiating. Burial took place at Crown Memorial Park in Pineville, N.C. GREENE FUNERAL HOME NORTHWEST CHAPEL is assisting the Benzio family.
