David Mackey – Rostraver Township

R. David Mackey, 51, of Rostraver Township, went to be with his family in Heaven on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2019. A son of the late Russell E. and Juliann Fernandez Mackey, he was born on Jan. 6, 1968, in North Charleroi. He was a member of the Donora United Methodist Church and graduated in 1991, from C.C.A.C. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business. A resident of Rostraver Township for most of his adult life, he was employed as a truck driver for many years at M & R Casale Trucking of Hunker. Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law, Jessica and Tyler Holmes and Brittany Mackey, all of Belle Vernon; one sister, Christeen Mackey-Myers of North Belle Vernon; two nephews, including Scott McAfee of Connellsville; two great-nieces, Nevaeh and Aubree; one great-nephew, Ian; and David’s former wife, Rebecca Garrick Mackey of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at FERGUSON FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon. www.FergusonFuneralHomeandCrematory.com, 724-929-5300. A Celebration of David’s Life will begin at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
