BVA archery program rapidly developing

Their names may not be William Tell or Robin Hood, but they are already making a name for themselves.
In only its fourth year of competition, Belle Vernon Area’s archery team placed seven archers among the top competitors in a Jan. 12 tournament at Belle Vernon Area High School.
BVA competed against Central Valley, Portersville Christian, Bishop Carroll and First Baptist Christian in Butler in the five-team field, with Portersville earning the top score.
Among boys in grades four and five, BVA fourth-grader Robert Allshouse placed second.
