Adams’ 23 not enough for Ringgold girls

When a team has struggled and battled like the Ringgold girls basketball squad, it’d be easy to look up at the scoreboard down 8-0 early and just mail in the rest of the game.
But the Rams gave visiting West Mifflin all it could handle before running out of gas in a 57-46 loss in Section 3-4A play.
“They never quit, I think this is the most proud I’ve been of them all season,” said Rams head coach Lindsy Muchnock. “They kept fighting and we were able to cut it to two. Unfortunately, we couldn’t get the stops we needed at crucial times. But the effort was there and it was promising because we had the underclassmen in there.”
Leading the Rams (3-13, 1-9) was Nya Adams, who ended with a game-high 23 points. When Ringgold needed a spark, Adams was there.
