Frances Anne Frye, 77, of Monongahela, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Jan. 20. 2019. She was born April 5, 1941, daughter of the late Patsy and Louise Arrigo Caruso. Fran was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joseph, and sister, Marguerite Pankiewicz. She is survived by her brother-in-law, Stanley Pankiewicz of Charleroi; and nephews, Ryan Pankiewicz and David Pankiewicz with wife Leslie Riley; and two sisters-in-law, Anna Mary and Faye Frye, both of Monongahela. Fran is survived by many loving relatives, friends and the PPG family. After Robert Morris College, Mrs. Frye went to work at PPG Industries, retiring in 2005 after 40 distinguished years serving as administrative assistant to several board chairmen and CEOs. Fran succeeded her husband Joseph as president of Frye Construction in 2012. She enjoyed being a life-long member of Mary Mother of the Church, supporting First United Methodist Church of Monongahela and Mon-Vale Health Auxiliary, listening to the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and brightening up her neighborhood. Friends will be received from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at SCHROCK-HOGAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 226 Fallowfield Ave., Charleroi. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at Mary, Mother of the Church, Seventh Street and Washington Avenue, Charleroi. Those attending the Mass are asked to go directly to the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Charleroi Area School District Educational Fund, P.O. Box 382, Charleroi, PA 15022 or Monongahela Valley Hospital Foundation, 1163 Country Club Road, Monongahela, PA 15063. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.schrock-hogan.com.
