White Oak property owners who were given a chance to avoid having their homes added to the borough’s 2019 demolition list have less than one month to bring the houses into compliance with borough codes and ordinances.

The five homeowners who appeared at an August demolition hearing are reminded that their presence is requested at the 8 p.m. Feb. 18 council meeting, where they will be asked to speak about whether or not their homes meet occupancy codes.

At Monday’s council meeting, Solicitor Krisha DiMascio issued the reminder to the homeowners who appeared at the hearing and informed council that they were actively working to bring their homes up to occupancy code.

At the August hearing, Code Enforcement Officer Brian Dinkfelt showed photos and testified on issues for the inside and outside of each of the six homes on the list — 606 and 700 New Jersey St., 738 and 2420 O’Neil Blvd., 608 Osborne St. and 1828 California Ave.
