Steeber, Henderson lead BVA girls over Titans

Belle Vernon Area now owns a two game lead for the final playoff spot in Section 3-4A after claiming a 51-41 win over West Mifflin Monday night.
Lindsay Steeber ripped the nets for a game-high 28 points for the Leopards (9-6, 6-3). Grace Henderson added nine points and was dominant on the glass, collecting a career-high 16 rebounds. Rachel Wobrak chipped in eight points for the Leopards.
Zaria Reid and Omrie Murphy each finished with nine points for West Mifflin (5-8, 4-5).
BVA controlled the middle portion of the game, outscoring the Titans, 26-14, in the second and third quarters.
