Elizabeth Jean Curran, 85, of Webster, died on Saturday, Jan. 19, in her home. Born in Webster on April 4, 1933, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Fujar Freshnock. She was formerly employed by Bell Telephone as an operator. Betty served as a committee woman in Webster, enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and going to casinos. She was an avid sports fan who especially loved her black and gold. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack L. Curran; seven brothers, John Jr., Andrew, Charles, George, William, James and Joseph Freshnock; and four sisters, Susan Johnson, Julia Gozdonovich, Ann Murray and Katherine Sitar. She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Deborah and Greg Chromulak of Monessen, Lori and Robert Billick of Monessen and Tracy Harhai, with whom she made her home; one son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Diane Curran of Belle Vernon; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Chromulak, Heath and Grant Curran, Shane and wife Alii Curran, Robbie Harhai and step-grandchildren Robert and James Billick; and one sister, Dorothy Kline. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at ROBERT A. BILLICK FUNERAL HOME INC., Grand Boulevard and Marion Avenue, Monessen, www.billicksfuneralhome.com. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park.
