The California boys basketball team has not been known as a team that starts fast this season.
However, the Trojans came out of the locker room at the beginning of the game and in the second half very fast.
The Trojans outscored visiting Carmichaels, 23-7, in the opening quarter and 17-8 in the third quarter en route to their fifth straight win, 74-46, Friday night in Section 2-2A play Friday night.
Malik Ramsey and Jaeden Zuzak each poured in 21 points and Cochise Ryan added 15 for California (10-3, 5-2), which benefitted from its fast start and balanced scoring attack.
