Robert J. Morgan Jr. – Monongahela

Robert J. Morgan Jr., 75, of Monongahela, Forward Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019. Born April 3, 1943, in Clairton, he was the son of the late Robert J. Sr. and Anna G. Cochran Morgan. A 1962 graduate of Monongahela High School, Bob was a retired Consol Energy coal miner and Methodist by faith. Surviving are two daughters, Barbara and husband Dan Rosensteel of Marienville, Pa., and Becky and husband William Baisden of Toney, Ala.; five stepsons, Frederick and wife Shannon Darrow of Apalachin, N.Y., Richard Darrow Windsor, N.Y., Charles Darrow of Little Meadows, Pa., Danny Darrow of Harbinger, N.C., and Terry Darrow of Elizabeth City, N.C.;  a step-daughter, Luann and husband David O’Neal of Gatlinburg, Tenn.; three sisters, Linda and Tom Garbart of Hobart, Ind., Jeanne and Skip Pieczarka of Finleyville and Carol Kreger of Osewgo, Ill.; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death was his wife, Anna Fuller Morgan, who died Sept. 3, 2013, and a stepson, Timothy Darrow, who died as an infant. Friends will be received at MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela, 724-258-6767, marshallmarrafuneralhome.com, from 10 to 12:30 p.m. Monday. Services will begin at 12:30 p.m. with the Rev. Joshua Green officiating. At the family’s request, interment will be private and held in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
