Julia A. Vigliotti Taddeo

Julia A. Vigliotti Taddeo, 93, of Monongahela, died Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019, five days after the passing of her husband in the Cambridge Creekside Personal Care Home, Charleroi. Born April 16, 1925, in New Eagle, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Orsola Bove Vigliotti. Julia graduated in 1943, from Monongahela High School. She then worked for a short time for the J. Halpern sewing factory in New Eagle. After moving to Levittown, with her family, she worked on the assembly line at the General Motors plant until 1975. She was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church, St. Damien of Molokai Parish, in Monongahela. Surviving are a son, Henry J. Taddeo Jr. of Monongahela; a granddaughter, Christina Taddeo and numerous nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her family, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry J. Taddeo, who passed away on Jan. 8, 2019; a grandson Michael S. Taddeo; a great granddaughter Rachael Taddeo; five brothers Carmen, James, Michael, Joseph and Patsey Vigliotti; and five sisters, Pauline Christner, Rose Totedo, Beatrice Giannamore Bessie Kieffer and Elizabeth Moreschi. At the family’s request a memorial service will be held at a later date. The MARSHALL MARRA FUNERAL HOME, 216 Chess St., Monongahela 724-258-6767 was in charge of arrangements. Henry J. Taddeo Sr.

Henry J. Taddeo Sr., 95, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2019, in Cambridge Creekside Personal Care Home, Charleroi. Born March 22, 1923, in Monongahela, he was the son of the late Nobbio and Emma Naddeo Taddeo. Henry graduated in 1941, from Monongahela High School, following his graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. A laborer, he worked at the former U.S. Steel’s Donora Mill in the open-hearth until their closing, with his family and then moved to Fairless Hills, Pa., where he worked until his retirement, in 1983, at the Fairless Works Steel Mill. He was a member of the former St. Anthony Catholic Church, (St. Damien of Molokai Parish) in Monongahela. He was survived by his wife of 72 years, Julia Vigliotti Taddeo, who he married Aug. 10, 1946, one son, Henry J. Taddeo Jr. of Monongahela, a granddaughter, Christina Taddeo and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his brother, Frank Taddeo, a grandson, Michael S. Taddeo and a great-granddaughter, Rachael Taddeo. At the family’s request a memorial service will be held at a later date.
